Senior Claims Adjuster - FinPro - London

We are proud to partner with an exciting, growing and dynamic Lloyd’s Syndicate to recruit a Senior Claims Adjuster, who will be responsible for the day-to-day management of a portfolio of Professional Lines claims, on both a lead and follow basis, specifically focusing on International D&O and FI Claims. The successful candidate will also be expected to provide some claims support to the company's Specialty Division.

Key Responsibilities

• Adjust, assess and manage assigned D&O, FI and FinPro claims within a defined authority, including the identifying and triaging of claims’ potential severity.
• Manage large and/or complex claims, escalating correctly and referring appropriately where support or guidance is needed.
• Report on large losses, both internally and to defined external stakeholders, including auditors and reinsurers.
• Attend market claims meetings, as required.
• Support and collaborate closely with Professional Lines Underwriters, including attendance at regular team meetings, and support with policy wordings and endorsements.
• Provide assistance to (and collaborate with) Pricing and Reserving Actuaries, Management Information Team, Outwards Reinsurance Team, Finance, and other internal stakeholders.
• Travel domestically or internationally, as required.
• Assist with reviews of vendor panels, claims audits, and service-provider audits.
• Assist with legal and/or claims studies and presentations, both internally and externally.
• Support the Head of Claims by contributing to the claims strategies and the underpinning of infrastructure.
• Engage in mentoring and coaching of more junior team members, including referral support.

Key Requirements

• Experience within Commercial / Specialty Insurance in the Lloyd’s and/or London Market, with experience (or knowledge) of Reinsurance.
• Experience of large loss management.
• Strong track record of managing lawyers, loss adjusters and other significant third-party service providers in relevant markets.
• Excellent knowledge of the UK and US legal systems, with experience in US and Australian claims handling preferred.
• Strong academic background, including legal qualification, ACII completion, or other suitable qualifications.
