We are recruiting for a Reinsurance Technician for our client, a highly established global insurance specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for
assisting with the collection of reinsurance assets through accurate calculation and issuance of recoveries, commutations and liquidation management techniques.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with the collection of reinsurance asset through accurate calculation and issuance of recoveries, commutations and liquidation management techniques
- Effectively implementing procedures for accurately calculating the reinsurance asset and issuance of reinsurance recoveries.
- Preparing and calculating reinsurance billings and loss advices.
- Recording and answering technical queries raised by reinsurers and / or Brokers.
- Assisting with Credit Control to ensure timely collection of outstanding balances.
- Assisting and handling commutations.
- Attending large loss roundtables
- Suggesting and implement process improvements.
- Completing and reporting on projects.
Key Requirements
- Knowledge of international insurance markets with particular regard to run-off, alongside market procedures for the settlement of Lloyd’s and Non-Lloyd’s balances.
- Ability to calculate reinsurance recoveries across Proportional and Non-Proportional Treaty and Facultative contract.
- Good interpersonal skills, such as clear communication and adaptability.
- Strong numerical and Excel skills and a high attention to detail.
- Able to plan effectively and manage own time to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Strong analytical and decision-making abilities.
