We are currently recruiting for a Credit Control Technician on behalf of our client, a highly regarded Lloyd's Syndicate.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing premium collections, analysing credit exposures, and ensuring timely reconciliation of Broker accounts.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitoring and managing outstanding premiums across all lines of business, particularly Financial Lines, Casualty Property.
- Serving as a point of contact for Brokers, ensuring timely and accurate exchange of information.
- Supporting Offshore in Credit Control/Processing attending weekly meetings
- Responsible of month-end and year-end closing processes related to receivables.
- Monitoring and managing aged debt across Broker and client accounts.
- Preparing any reporting for Operations Manager to provide oversight of the function.
- Liaising with Underwriters / Brokers to resolve outstanding balances and ensure timely settlement.
- Completing bank reconciliation to ensure monies received reconcile and paid to syndicate account
- Creating awareness within the business to prevent the renewal of risks of unpaid premium when a claim is due.
- Occasionally supporting client-facing activities, especially in renewals or complex placements.
Key Requirements
- Experience in a similar operations role within the Lloyd’s / London insurance market.
- Working knowledge of London market practice is preferred with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in the insurance world.
- Ability to analyse data and carry out reconciliation.
- Technical proficiency with a good working knowledge of central market systems such as IMR, Class / ECF, and Policy admin systems, (Eclipse preferred)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Organisational skills and eye-for-detail.
- The ability to work under pressure and set high standards.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
